Swimmer of the Meet: Nathan Gift
The first swim meet of the year is in the books. The outstanding swimmer of the meet was Nathan Gift who captured two first places in three individual events. Two other notable performances came in the 50 freestyle by freshman Jason Rackham and sophomore Jaden Brophy, who improved by: 09 seconds from their previous recorded times. Congratulations to these and all the swimmers who participated in the meet.
Due to allotted time constraint, the 100 freestyle events were canceled during competition. This was unfortunate for our swimmers and spectators alike, because virtually everyone competes in this hallmark event.
Thank you parents, family, and friends who came out to cheer for someone on the CHS swim team. Your support is always appreciated by the students and coaching staff.
The next swim meet is on Tuesday, October 18th at Fairmont Aquatic Center located at the east end of Sugarhouse Park, Salt Lake City. It is the Region VI Relays. The bus is scheduled to leave at 2:00 p.m.
